PTFE is a Polytetrafluoroethylene (P.T.F.E.) bar base adapted to fit all the different types of metal end pieces currently available in piercing jewelry - like Gold, Titanium, Surgical Steel, etc... What are the benefits of PTFE :
•Totally Flexible : It will bend with your body tissues unlike all metal Jewelry. It provides
comfort never before experienced in body piercing. It will reduce the shocks if you catch your piercing. A must for sports people with
piercing!
•Avoid allergies : Being one of the least allergenic materials, P.T.F.E. is used in themedical industry to make Heart Valves!(and other surgical implants).. The body will normally accept P.T.F.E without a problem. Should there be a problem of allergic reaction or rejection to conventional metal jewelry, it is likely that PTFE Body Jewelry would be a good option for that person under any circumstances.
•Can be Sterilized with Autoclave : Resists high temperatures without melting. PTFE Jewelry can be sterilized using the same methods as metal. It
also cools quicker than metals!
•Versatile! PTFE bars will not only fit our Jewelry attachments, but all conventional standard
14 ga threaded accessories that you may already own! Simply screw-on your accessory (balls, spikes, etc..) on to a PTFE bar. It will create a thread on the bar and will hold strongly! |
